Mapungubwe National Park
Mapungubwe National Park in a National Park with wildlife, baobabs, spectacular landscapes and the famous Mapungubwe Hill. Mapungubwe Hill is the location of an ancient civilization that lived in the area 1000 years ago. There are guided visits to the Mapungubwe Hill. These will need to be booked with the park in advance. Their number is 015 534 7924. Another attraction are decks that have a magnificent view of the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashe rivers which form the boundary between Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa. During a visit to the park it is usually possible to see elephants, kudu, zebra and giraffe.
